Singer Sheebah Karungi has made some ‘not really friendly’ remarks about fellow female singer Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy following the recently abandoned elections of the Uganda Musician’s Association (UMA).

Cindy was in the lead before the controversial election was called off, as engineered by Sheebah’s accomplice King Saha who protested the electoral process, citing foul play as the two battled for the association’s presidency. Sheebah actually bragged to have tipped Saha to disapprove the whole process.

Queen Karma, a ‘don’t put a fellow woman down’ champion has gone on to support her decision to openly support Saha, despite having a fellow woman in the race.

She claimed Cindy is so distant from the singers, and there’s no way she would unite them as a whole group.

“Saha personally approached me at my home in Munyonyo and told me he wanted to be our president, he broke down to me all his plans and it was easy for me to support his bid,” Sheebah explained.

The ‘Nkwaata Burungi’ hitmaker claims that Cindy, on the contrary has never reached out to her, or to them as singers. “How can we have a president like Cindy who doesn’t even talk to us?” She wondered.

According to Sheebah, UMA deserves a president like Saha who in her opinion is social, and not ‘arrogant’ like Cindy.

Following Sheebah’s submission, it’s clear she doesn’t agree with Cindy ‘who is a wiseacre and thinks she knows everything’ just because she’s older and has stayed in the industry for longer.

Sheebah however acknowledges the efforts of long-serving artists in the music industry like Cindy, as she further insinuated that their time is up and it’s now time for new and younger people to be in the driving seat.

The Copycat singer is yet to directly counter Sheebah’s accusations, but her silence suggests she’s still standing firm enough to run this city as far as the music industry and leadership is concerned.

Meanwhile, the UMA elections have been postponed until further notice.
