Some men in Malawi are not so happy with their government for barring South African artist Rabecca Libram popularly known as Zodwa Wabantu from perfoming in the country.
Describing that ‘she was too naked’, Zodwa was straight away denied clearance to perform in Malawi, leaving the men who had prepared to attend the show cursing, and organizers sweating as they tried to convince the responsible ministry to reverse their decision.
In an official letter, P. Makambala, the Director General, Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services in Malawi made it very clear that the South African shouldn’t be allowed into the country.
Makalamba accordingly issued out a directive to all regional immigration offices (Central, North, South and East) at all border posts to not allow Zodwa entry into Malawi in all borders for her planned tour of performances.

“I write to inform you that the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife, through the Censorship Board has not cleared an artist from South Africa named Zodwa Wabantu to perform in Malawi on an entertainment permit due to her moral degrading stage acts which include flaunting her nudity to audiences,” the directive read.“In this regard, Do not allow her entry into Malawi,” the director general ordered. It would therefore be criminal if by any means Zodwa somehow made it to Malawi and or performed.
