Reknowned popstar, Bobi Wine, real names Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has asked God to manifest his mighty power in his new heart-touching song titled Tujune.
Tujune is Luganda word that directly translates to ‘redeem us’. It’s a song of redemption – a message of hope with some political elements. Justifiable why it’s being promoted with a hashtag ‘Free All Political Prisoners’ on social media platforms.
Produced by Sir Dan Magic, Tujune is basically just another one of those typical Bobi Wine’s Fire Base ‘Edutainment’ themes like Tuliyambala Engule, and other societal topics he has addressed in his songs.
In his introductory verse in Tujune, Bobi Wine showing discontentment starts…,”Lord, today I come before you with so much sorrow. I come before you with so many unanswered questions…”
The ‘Ghetto Gladiator’ chose to sing his grievances out; Highlighting that there are so many injustices in the country, hence asking God to show up and empower him to fight unfairness (and his enemies).

“When one is lost of words, one sings. When mankind becomes so unkind, we naturally turn to the almighty for devine guidance,” Bobi said shortly before releasing the song.
In the previous general elections, the singer who also heads the National Unity Platform (NUP) contested and lost against President Yoweri Museveni in a manner that he described as unfair.
His supporters had so much faith in the charming, influential politician – they trusted him with all the responsibility of ‘saving the nation from captivity’ so they annointed him ‘the saviour’.
At this point though, Bobi Wine expresses his tiredness and disappointment in fighting battles he seemingly feels can’t be won by only his own might – but with the intervention of the Almighty.
