Kabira Country Club has been selected as one of the best venue to host the Stakeholders Meeting On Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Ecosystem in Uganda.

The high-level meeting anticipated to attract different stakeholders, public and private sector and experts from that particular field, is slated for Tuesday August 30,2022 in Kampala.

The meeting will focus on tackling on pertinent issues in the industry among others include setting up Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Ecosystem in the Country.

Irene Bateebe, permanent Secretary at Ministry of Energy said the discussions will be centered around electrification of transport both public and private cars and motorcycles in the Country.

Bateebe noted that, “the availability of EVs and the necessary charging charging infrastructure have to move in tandem. The low uptake of EVs can be linked to the lack of public EV charging infrastructure in the Country.”
