The Festive season has passed, and the responsibilities of the new year are a reality, but GOtv and DStv customers still have reason to celebrate as more entertainment comes their way from 25 January! Following the current offer where customers simply need to remain connected to be upgraded to the next highest package, the upcoming offer expands to reveal even more of the great content available on the GOtv platforms.
From 25 January to 31 March 2023, GOtv and DStv customers will get to wipe away their Janu-worry blues with GOtv’s Tukuwadeeko Neera and DStv Step Up Campaign and get upgraded to a higher package when they upgrade their subscription. Now that connected customers have had a taste of the great entertainment to be had on upgraded packages in the past month, they need only upgrade to view content on an even higher package.
While announcing the Step Up promotion, Mr. Rinaldi Jamugisa, MultiChoice Uganda PR and Communications Manager said, “We want to keep our valued customers entertained no matter what season it is, and what better way to enjoy the new year than with more content than you pay for! This offer gives customers the opportunity to explore higher packages and enjoy more content. That’s surely a little something to get excited about this January.”
The campaign allows existing GOtv and DStv customers to see varied programming available across higher packages, at the price of a lower package, making great content more accessible to a wider group of viewers.
DStv customers get to watch content on higher package with an extended and boosted Step Up offer! Customers who upgrade, or reconnect to the next highest package, will get a further booster to an even higher package at no additional cost! This means a step up to more channels and more entertainment!
Connected DStv customers on the Access, Family and Compact bouquets need only upgrade or pay for the package above their current package to experience what’s on offer in the package even higher to that.
Access customers who are already enjoying the newly launched local content channel Pearl Magic Loko can upgrade to Family to sample the world of Compact where they can catch new seasons of Urban Life, Take Me Back, Junior Drama Club and KanSeeMe on Pearl Magic Prime. Not missing International series like Season 1 of The First Lady, a drama around the history of the American presidency, told through the lens of the women at the heart of the White House, starring Viola Davis. The series starts on Friday 10 February at 10:00PM on Me.
Music-lovers who upgrade from the Family package to Compact will have access to Compact Plus and be able to catch the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on 1 Magic on Monday 6 Feb at 11:00PM. Beyonce, the most awarded woman in history has the most nominations this year for her stand-out dance album Renaissance and is predicted to win big!
Compact customers who upgrade to Compact Plus will be upgraded to Premium, where they can experience the best of the best entertainment. Look out for Julia Roberts in the premiere of the new political thriller series, Gaslit, a modern take on the 1970s political Watergate scandal centering on untold stories and forgotten characters of the time. The series starts on Monday 13 February, 2023 at 9PM on MNet.
On the other hand, GOtv Lite customers who upgrade to GOtv Value, will automatically be upgraded to GOtv Plus and experience great telenovelas on TLNovelas like Heartless, a riveting story about a woman seeking revenge for her murdered husband. On GOtv Value customers who upgrade to GOtv Plus will be upgraded to GOtv Max and be able to view the best of the best Martial Arts movies on KIX. GOtv Plus customers will have the ultimate in entertainment – in February kids can look forward to brand new episodes of Paw Patrol on NickJr.
