A boda boda rider in Kampala has won 85 million from sports betting after several failed attempts of trying to ‘catch a big fish’.
According to Alex, he has been in betting for over 10 years but he has never won anything morethan Shs300,000 from the industry.
“I have been betting for many years but winning has been a problem and I lost over 10 million. I never gave up because I wanted to recover what I lost,” he narrated.
“A friend, who also won over 300 million introduced me to these guys who sell games, I bought the games through him since I had no idea of how everything works, after I bought, he told me to open an account with either Msport or Sporty Bet, I opened and he sent me the games and told me what to do, I did exactly what he told me to do and the ticket won! This was the happiest day of my life,”
“With this money now, I am thinking of expanding it before I buy a fleet of taxis because I want to own the biggest transportation company. We have upcoming games this week and this will again help me gain more, I would wish to start my business immediately since this betting thing is risky, you can be arrested any time. You heard of a story of some people who were arrested in Kenya, so I don’t want to be greedy.”
