A man in Arua City has shocked his relatives and friends after selling off his vehicle (Toyota vitz) to bet on Uganda Cranes to win against Tanzania.

The two nations will face off in the return leg in Tanzania on Tuesday 28th March in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game. The reverse fixture ended with a victory for Tanzania in Egypt.

Alex Jurua says that God gave him the vision to multiply this money using this game.

“When I was sleeping yesterday, I had an interactive session with God and he was giving me so many ideas of how to get a lot of money, and this was one of them. In the morning, I had to look for a buyer for my car and used that money as a stake,” Alex narrated.

Should Uganda Cranes fight hard to save this ‘believer’ he will make a profit of Shs9 million out of the 3 million he used as a stake.

Since betting is a game of luck, we only wish him the best but we hope the ‘black gods’ from his village do not haunt him.
