KCB Bank Uganda has launched its sponsorship worth Shs 60 million towards three illustrious rally drivers lined up to participate in the Pearl of Africa Rally; Oscar Ntambi, Micheal George Mukula Jr who are local drivers, along with Karan Patel an international rally driver. Unveiling of the drivers follows the bank’s earlier announcement of a Shs 80 million sponsorship package towards the organisation of the upcoming event.

The reveal of the drivers was made today at Source of the Nile Hotel in Jinja. This gesture underscores the bank’s commitment to nurturing talent and driving success on both local and international fronts.

The Pearl of Africa Rally, which is a showcase of motorsport excellence in Uganda, captivates local and rally enthusiasts across East Africa and beyond, and will take place between the 9th and 12th of May 2024 in areas of Jinja, Kakira, Source of the Nile, Bujagali and Kamuli road.

She further elaborated, “Our contribution of 80 million Ugandan shillings towards the organization of this year’s Pearl of Africa Rally and 60 million Ugandan shillings to the drivers not only gives an opportunity to showcase the remarkable talent of local and regional rally drivers but also fosters a spirit of excellence and camaraderie.”

He said, “This is my second time to be sponsored by KCB Bank and I am thrilled by the Bank’s steadfast commitment towards fostering my talent.”

Expressing gratitude for KCB’s continued support, Micheal George Mukula Jr said, “We are deeply honoured by KCB Bank’s unwavering belief in our abilities. With this sponsorship, we are fuelled to push our limits, not only for the pride of our sponsors but for the glory of Uganda as well.”
