We have people talk about how good the different parties they attend be, and yes, they are right about it because parties have descriptions and according to one’s preferences, and the truth is, there was yet another unseen before party at Garden City rooftop over the weekend! If you ask those who attended it, I swear most of them will tell you how awesome it was and yet some may not be able to describe how exciting it all unfolded all evening and night long.
Garden City rooftop opened its doors as early as 4:00pm in the afternoon, and as usual, the event organizers expected revelers to show up one by one at probably 6 or 7PM in the evening but no, they were wrong! The guests started arriving as soon as the music went on air and not in joking numbers by the way; it looked as if they had understood the assignment back and forth!
Wait, did I say assignment? No, it wasn’t any-of-the-sort but rather, there was a great evening picnic that partiers need no mailing so as to clinch, and yes they did show up and enjoyed it all with friends and loved ones.
There was loud funky music already making waves into the air, calling on the clouds to ruck and the sunny day quickly turned cold, turning the party moods on!
The event, of course not the Billy-no-mates type, saw guests come in pairs and more and quickly engaged in indoor games including; matatu, giant Jenga, mini golf and chess to Foose ball, pool table, Video gaming, and the FIFA tournament to tick tack toe, to break the ice and get conversations flowing.
Singer Julius Sese was the crowd’s favorite as he did justice to his love ballads including ‘C’est la vie,’ So many ways’ and ‘Revolution’ song among others and wow! Guy is not your usual ‘Twende ku party-Give me fire’ type, because he sings out love, with messages intended to mend broken hearts, find love and seeking for forgiveness among others, guy is indeed incredible! Needless to say he is from another world, way beyond Uganda.
Just to ensure nothing derogated the partier’s happiness, before Sese’s magical love charm, the party witnessed Deejay Vanns deliver his ‘A’ game, playing some of the big hits beyond the audience could imagine, he nailed it and yes, proving those who were growing leery, wrong. For sure, it was exactly what partiers had come for!
Kasbaby on his side, not wanting to be out competed, made it a point and changed his tactics to deliver only fire and not same old same performance he does on some parties, this was indeed a unique experience, call it extra-ordinary!
Most of the attendees attuned to the fact that, it was one of the best moments they had had in a long time as TAG together with its partners wrapped up the month of May with a spectacular Jameson and Friends; Denim Edition party.
Soccer fans were not left out either as their evening was filled with joy when they watched Manchester United win the FA Cup on giant screens while they sipped on free complimentary cocktails, courtesy of Jameson.
Other entertainers of the night included; Bowman Aremwaki and Selecta Jeff, not forgetting Viana Indi and Adele Kiele who kept the revelers hyped up throughout the night.
There were free haircuts for the early bird guests, complimentary cocktails, and discounted tattoos as guests got the chance to make new friends, widen the circle, bond, and connect while celebrating togetherness and the spirit that binds us.
The Denim edition came at a time when Uganda is getting ready for the Legends of Sound Blu 3 Reunion concert scheduled for the 22nd of June 2024 at the Kampala Sheraton Gardens. Early bird tickets are on sale at www.tagticketing.com
“Jameson And Friends” which continues to target its core audience of youths aged 18-35 years old is organized by Talent Africa Group and Pernod Ricard in partnership with Safeboda.
