The Ugandan music scene’s renaissance was on full display Saturday night at the Ndere Cultural Centre. In a vibrant blend of culture, high-energy Afro-pop, and creative innovation, Joshua Baraka’s inaugural concert, B’raka Land, set a new standard for live performances, with Bell Citrus adding an unmistakable zest to the evening.

From the moment attendees stepped into B’raka Land, they were welcomed into a fully immersive experience. A custom walkway lined with a lively citrus backdrop guided guests into the venue, where an interactive mirror photobooth captured the night’s excitement. Sampling bars strategically placed around the space ensured Bell Citrus was both the first sip and the first photo moment for many.

As the amphitheatre filled with enthusiastic fans, rising Ugandan artists Ricky Odrey, Aijuka, and Kamanzi warmed up the stage with electrifying performances, offering a glimpse into the bright future of Uganda’s music landscape.

The energy surged when Etania stepped on stage, leading into a dramatic blackout that plunged the amphitheatre into suspense. In an explosive moment, lights flashed back on as a high-energy Citrus dance troupe stormed the stage—ushering in the King of B’raka Land and the symbolic rebirth of Bell Citrus.

Joshua Baraka seamlessly connected with the crowd, performing songs from his debut album Baby Steps to his latest project Juvie. A highlight of the night came mid-performance when he raised a pitcher, inspiring the audience to lift their Bell Citrus bottles for a unified toast to a new era.

For Bell Citrus, the night was more than a relaunch—it was a statement.

“We promised ‘Flavour with a Zest,’ and this energy embodies exactly that: young, vibrant, and refreshing,” said Lillian Kansiime, Brand Manager for Bell Citrus. “Joshua Baraka represents what this drink stands for: innovation and a fresh new twist. Thank you all for supporting Baraka and Bell Citrus as we merge classic heritage with a modern, zestful experience.”

The celebrations heightened with surprise appearances from Maurice Kirya, Mun G, Big Trill, A Pass, and Isabel Twongeirwe, each raising a toast to Baraka’s milestone moment. Baraka later took time to honor his mother for grounding him, and to thank his fans and sponsors for their unwavering support as he continues to grow as an artist.

As Baraka wrapped up his performance, the Ssese Nation DJs took charge, closing the night with an electrifying set that kept the energy pulsing through Ndere Centre. The cheers, the citrus-infused ambience, and the memories lingered long after, signaling the birth of a new flavour and an elevated standard for concert experiences.

Welcome to the zest. Welcome to the flavour. Welcome to B’raka Land.

Aly Allibhai, CEO of Talent Africa Group, summed up the night:

“Into the B’raka Land is not just a celebration of music, but a testament to the vibrant culture of Uganda. We are proud to support artists like Joshua Baraka who are pushing boundaries and redefining the concert experience. Together with our partners, we’re committed to creating unforgettable moments that resonate across the continent.”
