Presidential Press Secretary Don Wanyama is set to take over as Vision Group Chief Executive Officer replacing outgoing Robert Kabushenga.

The rumour has been that Mr. Wanyama turned down the opportunity to replace Kabushenga some weeks ago.

According to sources, Wanyama turned down the job after considering the security of his current job and the millions he earns in allowances travelling with President Yoweri Museveni.

As Museveni’s PPS, Wanyama is guaranteed utmost security with a gun and SFC protection at home.
He is also immune to prosecution while in office for several crime types and external intrigue.

At Vision, Wanyama was reluctant because of the mafia will eat him raw with salt, he loses security on top of being subjected to regular audits and liable to prosecution.
Parliament can as well summon him any day.

But according to senior journalist Jacobs Seaman Odongo, after weeks of discussions, Wanyama has finally accepted to succeed Kabushenga.
