NBS Reporter Sheila Nakabuye Dies

A cloud of grief is hovering over Naguru based Nxt Media following the untimely death of one of their reporters, Sheila Nakabuye.

Nakabuye, who served as Next media’s Bureau Chief for Southwestern Uganda, had on 15th May, 2021 delivered a baby girl but went into a coma after that.

She was pronounced dead on Monday 17th May, 2021 at Mbarara Referral Hospital.

Several workmates have poured out their eulogies online praising her for being friendly and creative in executing her duties.

“Rest well my Bureau Chief Nakabuye Sheila, we spoke, laughed, shared our story ideas, pitches  and how we can execute them. May the God Lord take you in with Love Sheila,” wrote Benson Ongom, NBS’ Northern Uganda correspondent.

“Rest in peace Nakabuye. You fought a good fight, lost your own life while giving life,” Daniel Lutaaya another NBS journalist said.

Burial arrangements are still not known as Next Media hasn’t released the details.
