The promotion, which is part of UBL’s 75th-anniversary celebrations, commenced on 9th March 2021 and has consumers of Uganda Waragi, Bond 7 and V &A from all over Uganda stand the chance to win cash prizes worth 2.1 billion.

Speaking at a ceremony to congratulate some of the winners, Kiiza said, “I am so excited. I honestly did not expect to win, but just tried my luck and then received a message saying that I had won 7.5 million and would receive the cash on my mobile money account. She added, “I want to use this money to pay for the completion of my degree and also start a project on the side.”

To participate, customers who purchase a 200ml bottle of Uganda Waragi, Bond 7 and V&A will check under the closure for a code. Consumers then dial *255*23# and follow prompts to stand a chance to win.

The prizes under the promotion are instantly redeemable cash via mobile money categorized as follows: Shs5,000, Shs7,500, Shs75,000, Shs750,000, Shs7.5 million, leading up to the ultimate grand prize of Shs75 million.

40,000 winners have so far won cash prizes under the promotion, which goes on until the 30th of June.

Hilary Baguma, the UBL Brand Manager Mainstream Spirits said, “We are very glad to have received our first winner of Shs7.5 million and congratulate her as well as all the other winners.
