Events promoter Balaam Barugahare was Wednesday thrown out and denied access to late Gen. Paul Lokech’s vigil at his home in Kira-Namugongo.
KS was reliably informed that attendance to the ceremony was strictly by invite only.
There was vigorous screening of the guests
and only Family,top security officials were allowed in.
“Balam comes with his popular t-shirt and tried to access the premises,all in vain,” revealed our source.
Security was strictly done by the police,military,private security and SFC,only allowing invited mourners.
One had to be either top army General or a big Police official, Family,Friends and invited press to be able to access the vigil.
“Balaam tried to explain to the officials but all his explanations fell on deaf ears.
He tried to talk to the top officials to go with him inside,but no one cared,”said the source.
The source further revealed that the events guru would try to familiarise with with the officers when they arrived at the premises and would try walking along with them to the gate but only to be be stopped by the security.
“You go through the right procedure,you know we are also invited,” top officials would tell Balaam whenever he tried seeking their intervention.
Balam had nothing to do but to seat in his car and follow the requime mass via his phone.
Another source wondered why Balaam exposed himself to such humiliation when even Police officers like Luke Owoyesigyire, Kampala Metropolitan Ass spokesman was left outside.
The ceremony saw all the Army Generals and Police officers attend except were Generals Muhoozi Kainerugaba,Mbasu Mbadi who was represented by Gen.Elwelu.
