Hoima District Woman MP National Unity Platform – NUP Flag Bearer Mrs Nyamuhaibona Anna Mary has defected to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Nyamuhaibona in the last election lost to NRMs Businge Harriet Akiiki but surprised many when she was welcomed to the ruling party after meeting Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja following a closed-door meeting.
After defecting to the ruling party, Nyamuhaibona blamed the NUP leader Hon Robert Kyagulanyi of selfishness and lack of a clear agenda and vision for Uganda.
“National Unity Platform is full of selfishness and lack of clear agenda and vision for this country, and i don’t regret joining the ruling NRM party,” Nyamuhaibona asserted.
Nabbanja who handed over a copy of the NRM Manifesto applauded Nyamuhaibona for making a wise decision and encouraged her to mobilize others to join NRM that has a clear vision for Uganda.
“You have made a wise decision, therefore fish more others to join the mighty ruling part which has a clear vision for this country,” Nabbanja told Nyamuhaibona.
Our sources from Hoima said that during the closed meeting with Hon Nabbanja, Nyamuhaibona had the opportunity to speak to president Museveni directly using Nabbanj’s phone who promised her alot of goodies if she accepts to join the ruling party with a well-paying job awaiting her.
