It is only 18 days left to his highly anticipated Club Sponsored “Gwanga Mujje” concert, and the fans have been waiting right from the time veteran musician Jose Chameleone took to social media to announce that he will hold a concert on Friday the 10th of February 2023 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Chameleone, in company of his singing brothers Weasel and Pallaso, addressed the press at a press conference held at Industrial Area, Kampala based Fenon Events offices.
With all the preparations done, the 43-year-old singer who is excited to take his fans on yet another music trip said that this is not going to be an ordinary concert but rather an experience. He also added that he dedicated it to Peace, Love and Unity amongst Ugandans.
“I invite you all my friends to Gwanga Mujje. I dedicate this concert to my country. Let us be good people, love each other and be peaceful.
It’s for peace, love and unity not divisionism all because someone is in a certain political version, because someone is a Munyankore, because someone is a Muganda. This concert is for peace, love and unity,” said Chameleone.
The “Forever” singer who said that he has a lot of amazing things he has prepared for his fans’ to experience made it known that he will take to stage at exactly 8PM to give revellers a four-hour thrilling performance.
“Artistes always run out of time, and it has happened to me many times so we are doing things differently. Gates will be opened at 9AM and Jose Chameleone will step on stage at exactly 8PM. Four hours are enough until midnight.”
Meanwhile, it has been four years since Chameleone held a concert, including two (2020 and 2021) when concerts were suspended due to spread of Covid-19.
The Gwanga Mujje Concert is organised by Biggie Events and sponsored by Club Pilsener.
