The Awards are well-known globally for the role it plays in advocacy and convening dialogues around social issues about the Business of Fashion in Africa and its sustainability. This is usually achieved through the use of Workshops, High-Profiled Speakers and Summits around fashion in Africa.
Coming back after 2 years, ASFAs presents a 3-day Fashion Weekend. The event reflects on how the fashion industry has gone through many changes in the last years.
Due to COVID19, most of the big brands with a lot of resources were struggling to navigate thhe new normal, and thought; how much harder can it be for local, small and medium enterprises?
Speaking about the awards, Brian Ahumuza, the CEO of Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards revealed, “To be a young designer navigating the markets, especially after the pandemic is not easy.
This fashion weekend is a platform for young creatives who seek for futuristic opportunities to collaborate and amplify their brands, or simply better understand the markets.”
