On Saturday, Nile Breweries’ Castle Lite Beer launched its latest campaign dubbed “Say My Name” with an epic stunt at Acacia Mall Rooftop in Kisementi, Kampala.

From a mystery fridge, to intriguing clues, to a song collaboration with rapper Mun G, Castle Lite, claimed its spot as Uganda’s best tasting lite beer, and reminding Ugandans that when they order a lite beer, Castle Lite should be the first thing on their lips.

At the mall’s rooftop where people often stand to enjoy the skyline view of Kololo neighbourhood was a mysterious box which drew attention and excitement from passers-by, who were invited to guess what was inside it, using a series of clever clues.

The stunt drove intrigue on social media too, with everyone getting involved in guessing what was inside the box.
The suspense later reached its peak when a lucky participant correctly identified the brand as Castle Lite, triggering the grand reveal which was a Castle Lite fridge and an exclusive prize for the guesser, all accompanied by dazzling fanfare, an enthusiastic crowd and a performance of the campaign’s official song titled “Say My name” by celebrated rapper Mun G, showing Castle Lite’s strong connection with music and pop culture.

Beyond the stunt and reveal, attendees were treated to an immersive product sampling experience and freebies featuring media personalities, beer enthusiasts, and influencers who got to taste and celebrate Castle Lite’s signature smoothness. The energy peaked as the crowd joined in a spirited chant, “when I say Castle, you say Lite!”, reminding everyone why it’s Uganda’s best-tasting Lite.

“Castle Lite is about pushing boundaries and bringing people together through innovation and entertainment. From our thermo-chromatic indicators that turn blue when your beer is perfectly Extra Cold to our ice-proof labels, every aspect of Castle Lite is designed for the ultimate refreshment. ‘Say My Name’ is just another example of how we innovate beyond the product to deliver unforgettable brand moments,” said Eric Malinga, Castle Lite Brand Manager.

Made from the finest hops, barley malt, water and maize extract and with no preservatives, Castle Lite is the go-to lite beer for those who demand both refreshment and a crisp, full-bodied taste.

Having launched in South Africa in 1994, Castle Lite has expanded to become Africa’s biggest Lite beer across 10 other African markets, including Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Eswatini, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria. Proudly African, the brand continues to define the lite beer category by combining product excellence with cutting-edge consumer engagement.
