Swangz Avenue signed top singers Vinka and Azawi have been confirmed for the 11th Edition of the CPA Economic Forum 2023.
The event organized by the Institute of the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) will be happening from July 19-21st at Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe and online.
Confirming the development, Ms. Jackline Nabirye told Kampala Sqoop’s Emuk Benjamen that Vinka and Azawi will be entertaining the guests at the event as they wind up from the 3-day long discussions on different topics hinged on Uganda’s third National Development Plan (NDP III).
The 10 Over 10 songstress Azawi and ‘Bailando’hitmaker Vinka, will be backed up on stage with the incredible sounds of the Abeeka Band and are expected to bring their ‘A’games, giving guests their energetic performances.
The forum will be running under the theme; ‘National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development.’ A topical discussion hugely based, a tool intended to drive and realize Uganda’s Vision 2040, a transformed Ugandan Society from a peasant to a modern and Prosperous Country within 30 years.
This year, the event will see different industry experts deliberate on over 8 topics including; Cooperative Societies as a Driver for Socio-Economic transformation; the role of Security in Nation building; Empowering Communities through Agricultural Value addition; Labour Exports: Socio-Economic Benefits and Challenges, Education Sector: Reforms in Curriculum, Uganda’s Oil and Gas Sector: Value Chain for Public Value, Hospital, Tourism Management, and Marketing Industrialization as a Driver for Self-Reliance.
Last year, the event attracted 900 participants but it is speculated that the 3-day event will attract over 1,000 attendees including high-profile dignitaries all the way from Tax Consultants, Economists, Policy Makers, Entrepreneurs, Investment Experts, Accountants, Government officials and Development enthusiasts among others. The key note address will be delivered by the Government Chief Whip, Dennis Hamson Obua.
When contacted by our reporter, Emuk Benjamen, Azawi said, “My beloved Accountants, Entrepreneurs and all the guests should expect lit performance, I will not be singing on stage like it has been the case with other events but rather, we are going to do it together, just get ready,” said Azawi.
