Most of the events are organized for profits and that is basically why event managers and organizers call it their business, yes, it’s indeed business!
And so is every music show for different artists since their music doesn’t pay them through the different music streaming platforms hence shows or concerts.
This is not the case with Alex Muhangi’s comedy store foundation concert featuring Africa’s top bongo flava sensational singer Diamond Platnumz scheduled for July 14, 2023 at Kololo Airstrip.
Diamond will be embracing the concert in respect to Muhangi’s call to fundraise financial resources to support humanity, those who are vulnerable including orphans among others that the foundation supports.
Established in April 2022, Comedy Store Foundation prides in ensuring and designed programs aimed at facilitating youth skilling and mentorship as well as positively impacting the society within which Comedy Store Uganda operates.
According to Comedy Store boss Alex Muhangi, the Foundation’s programs are currently concentrated in Kampala majorly due to limited resources. “Our desire is to expand both our scope and footprint to different parts of Uganda.

It is for this reason that we have organized this fundraising concert headlined by Diamond Platnumz.”
The concert will be featuring incredibly talented artists including Kenya’s Nameless, Uganda’s Spice Diana, King Saha, Winnie Nwagi, Ray G, Alien Skin, Karole Kasita, Naava Grey, Zex Bilangilangi, MC Mariachi, Madrat & Chiko, Abeeka Band, Maulana & Reign, Teacher Mpamire Daddy Andre, Eezzy, Fico West, Titus Vybz, Merry Heart and Sammy & Shawa among others.
Platnumz according to the organizers, will be performing for two full hours, giving fans and music lovers an experience of thrilling performances, they will all love all afternoon and evening long.
The proceeds from the concert according to Muhangi, are to enhance the activities of the Comedy Store Foundation that was set up to uplift the youth through mindset change and skills training, supporting vulnerable children at the Katalemwa Cheshire Home and enabling continuous flow of comedy audition programs among others.
