Fast-rising kadongo kamu and tradition-infused musician – Gentle Mulindwa, is set to hold his much-anticipated debut concert “Kajje Kajje” on August 30th at the Busaabala Playgrounds, in what promises to be a major celebration of Uganda’s musical heritage.

Known for his deeply rooted storytelling and songs like Kiwanuka, Namayanja, Kinene Nyumba, Embuyaga and Amadda ga Bamweyana, Mulindwa has steadily built a loyal following for his unique blend of traditional sounds and socially conscious lyrics.

Now, the singer is ready to take center stage with his first major concert — a cultural feast aimed at honoring African traditions through music.

The event, organized by Afrikan Moon Events, will feature a star-studded line-up of top Ugandan artists including Jose Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo, King Saha, Weasel, Annet Nandujja, Mesach Semakula, Mathias Walukagga, Stecia Mayanja, and several other celebrated performers.

“This concert is not just about me,” said Mulindwa in a statement. “It is a celebration of where we come from — our sounds, our stories, our culture. Kajje Kajje is a call to reconnect with our roots.”

With the scenic lakeside venue at Busaabala set to host thousands of fans, organizers promise a night of live music, cultural showcases, and nostalgic performances that reflect Uganda’s diverse musical heritage.

The concert will attract a cover charge of Shs10,000 (Ordinary), Shs50,000 (VIP), Shs100,000 (VVIP) and Shs1,000,000 for a table, making the event accessible to fans across all walks of life.

As anticipation builds, Kajje Kajje is already being hailed as a concert not to miss — one that blends tradition with modern artistry, and offers a platform for Ugandan music to shine in all its authentic glory.
