A Ugandan lecturer is in cloud 9 after hitting over 800 million from Ugandan fixed games betting.
The lecturer, whose name has been concealed for security reasons revealed that he met his luck recently after years of ‘betting for fun’.
“I have been betting yes but it has been just for fun, I would get only one or two teams but in the end, I wouldn’t make enough profits,” he said.
According to him, he saw news trending online about how these African tipsters have helped a lot of people get out of the poverty line by winning a lot of money from fixed games.
“Yes I have been seeing those messages pop up on my phone on how people won a lot of money, including one of my students,” he said.
“So one day, I decided to make a follow-up, I landed on their website where I saw different categories but I was only interested in the said fixed games that do not lose, I saw a 1 million subscription fee, as a man of my status, I said even if I lose, it’s not a lot of money, so I paid! After payment, I checked the next dates for the fixed games, and decided to inbox them on WhatsApp for more clarity, they told me to be ready on the date I saw on the website with my stake. So I waited and when the day came, I got the odd was 174! I asked for assurance, they told me it’s 100%. I put 5m! The ticket won and that was it. I shared with them 15% they asked for,” he narrated.
