The much anticipated Afropolooza festival sponsored by MTN Uganda and Nile Special and organized by Talent Africa, brought together thousands of Ugandans.

Started on Saturday the 8th of October at Lugogo Cricket Oval, the event offered lots of fun and nothing short of music performancs from Nigerian singer Rema plus local artistes and DJs performances.

It was evident that almost ‘everybody had come’ to mainly watch Rema because after the last local artiste, Navio performed, some revellers in the VIP section were heard complaining the singer was delaying to take to the stage.

The “Calm Down” hit singer finally took to stage at 11 :24 PM and kicked off his live band performance singing songs like “Are You There”, “Runaway”, “Soundgasm” among others as fans cheered him up singing to his lyrics.

Revellers started making their way to Cricket Oval as early as 5 PM ready to experience what the festival had to offer. The first set of MCs, Isaac and Viana Indie did a did a good job to hype up the little crowd as more came in.

Despite being a cold night with rain threats, the revelers had undisrupted exciting performances from local artistes; R’Africa , Bruce Dixon, Tracy Melon, Triggah, Ebrahim Soul’o, Byg Ben Sukuya, Tucker HD, Adrenaline Music, Flex Di Paper, Lilian Mbabazi and Sundowners, Lamu, Rickman, The Mith, Maurice Kirya, Big Tril, Beenie Gunter, Janzi Band, Vinka and lastly Navio.

The festival had a mixture of MCs, from MC Isaac and Viana, to Timothy Code, MC Kats, Sheilah Soltoft, Sheilah Gashumba and apart from artistes, live Dj performances also entertained the crowd.

Afropolooza festival will end on Sunday with more action packed entertainment from local artistes including Reggae legend Madoxx Ssematimba, Ragga Dee, Cindy and Kenya’s Sautisol.
