Singer Sheebah Karungi will be headlining this year's Edition of Bakiga Nation

Award-winning singer Sheebah Karungi is set to headline the 13th edition of Bakiga Nation Rukundo Egumeho which is slated to happen on Sunday 2nd June 2024, at the Indian Association Grounds in Lugogo.

The annual festival, brings people of various cultures together while showcasing the wealth of the Bakiga tribe that is seen in their traditional dances, the food, the dress code and even their music. The stage of this thrilling ceremony has always managed to grace the crowds with entertainment from the most popular artists and this year it will be with the captivating songstress Sheebah Karungi who has made a name for herself internationally because of her unique sense of performing art that captivates her fans and those that she is entertaining.

Not only does this platform attract many socialites and culture enthusiasts, but also many corporate companies come on board to sponsor and among the sponsors of this year’s edition of the Bakiga Nation is Roke Telkom, an indigenous company in Uganda that has held the flag high in promoting the preservation of Ugandan cultures.

During an interview, Jesse Ntale, the marketing and communications manager of Roke Telkom expressed his excitement for being given an opportunity as the company to be back once again as sponsors of such a prestigious and culture promoting event.

“We are proud to be one of the sponsors of yet another edition of Rukundo Egumeho. We take preservation of culture really seriously and it is always an honor to support programmes organized to promote the great cause” Ntale exclaimed.

The Bakiga Nation has been organized in Uganda since 2011 and with the awareness created around it every year, it has continued to grow bigger and better every year. The event is set to attract people from various areas both local and international while promoting the tourism sector of the country hence development and growth of the economy.
