With an unbuttoned shirt, socks without shoes and a lot of excitement is the vibe that Jamaican Dancehall artiste Dexta Daps arrived at Entebbe International Airport on Wednesday ahead of the inaugural Noise Nation festival where he is the main headliner.
Slated to take place this Saturday the 14th of December at Lugogo Cricket Oval, Dexta and organisers of this highly anticipated event namely Swangz Avenue, House of DJs and Uganda Waragi addressed the media on what to expect at a press conference held at Noni Vie Lounge, Lugogo.
“The welcome from the airport was really hot, I have never had that experience before so I really thank Uganda for showing me that. It’s Noise Nation, so you can just expect a lot of noise, good noise, beautiful noise, and it’s my first time in Uganda so I wanna make sure that I bring the experience that you guys never forget so am excited about it” Dexta Daps said.
Benon Mugumbya who is one of the founders and directors at Swangz Avenue said that Noise Nation won’t only offer revellers a music experience but also a celebration of cooking and food, fashion, sports personalities among other fun things.
“It’s all about making noise, we are going to make beautiful noise and you know noise is related to celebration so come this Saturday, it’s going to be a big celebration and not just music but food and fashion. We are celebrating content creators, sports men and women, chefs and this something we are going doing every year and it’s gonna be different every year”- Said Benon
He also added that there will a lot happening before the main man Dexta takes to stage like basketball ball, fashionistas showcases, DJs battles and some local artistes performances.
Justin Agaba a representative from Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) promised that UBL will bring their amazing products for the revellers to enjoy and a whole ballistic experience from Uganda Waragi.

Meanwhile, local artistes Elijah Kitaka, Winnie Nwagi, Vinka, Azawi, Zafaran, Double Black Band, Ava Peace, Zagazillions, Nutty Neithan, John Black, Dax Vibez and Karole Kasita will also perform for the crowd before Dexta.
