Divisions have once emerged in Busoga parliamentary Caucus as
Kadaga loyalists; Maurice Kibalya, Mariam Naigaga, Walyomu Moses are now using Busoga Kingdom as a pillar of division among their own rather than capacity building.
A month ago, the Busoga Caucus sat and voted an interim committee that was agreed on by everyone, something that has changed after a Kadaga funded clique decided to call for a meeting at Hotel Africana as they lured 16 members into voting for a new committee.
Isabirye Aga who was calling MPs for the meeting managed to convince the 16 Busoga legislators that Busoga Prime Minister, Joseph Muvawala had called for the meeting, only to reach there in vain.
Rather, than tackling the high poverty rate in Busoga and Sugarcane saga, Rachael Magoola, Asuman Basalirwa joined the new shadow committee and went on to use Busoga Kingdom to divide Basoga.
Busoga Region Mps have elected another Parliamentary Caucus, saying the first one headed by Hon. Idi Isabirye wasn’t was an interim.

Chairperson – Kisa Steven
Vice Chairperson – Rachael Magoola
General Secretary – Manjeri Kyebakutika
Treasurer – Brenda Namukuta
Publicity – Isabirye David Aga
Legal – Asuman Basalirwa
Whip – Martin Mugabi Muzaale
Culture and External Relations – Alibawo Sauda.
Division rages further within the Busoga Parliamentary Caucus after a section of legislators decided to elect another caucus leadership parallel to that currently headed by MP Idi Isabirye.
The new faction fronts that the election of the Bunya south legislator was not accommodative and lacked quorum yet all 42 MPs where in attendance and Voted, rather than the 16 MPs who formed a new committee earlier on Today.
With Saudah Alibawo, Rachael Magoola and Isabirye Aga having appeared on the first interim committee and now appearing again on the newly formed distorted clique, Isn’t this the worst hypocrisy that has always pulled Busoga back even after all those years with a strong government arm in their land??
Is Busoga too relaxed and settling for this mediocrity???
