MultiChoice Uganda continues to provide Ugandans with World-class quality entertainment and information through a line-up of great channels viewed across the globe. The cost of acquiring the broadcast rights for most of these channels has however increased hence impacting the cost of delivering this content to our customers in Uganda.

While making the announcement to the media, Joan Semanda Kizza, the PR and Communications Manager for Multichoice Uganda said, “To continue serving the same quality of entertainment, effective September 1st, 2022, Multichoice Uganda will adjust the price of our DStv and GOtv packages in line with the current market conditions.”

“We have   considered the rate of consumer inflation and current economic pressures facing Uganda when considering our price adjustments. In addition, we have taken into consideration the Bank of Uganda (BOU) inflation outlook attributed to the weakening of the Uganda shilling against the US dollar, coupled with the rising cost of energy given the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war,” she added.

MultiChoice Uganda is aware that its customers, are subject to pressure. In this regard, MultiChoice has endeavoured to ensure that price increases are as low as possible, while ensuring that we offer our customers the best quality service. MultiChoice will continue to provide unparalleled access to entertainment that is accessible to the greatest possible number of Ugandans, presenting content of the best possible quality anywhere, anytime, and at the most affordable price.
