In a moment that blended state leadership with cultural pride, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among, has stood tall on behalf of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the 30th Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
Representing the Head of State, Speaker Among delivered a message that exalted Omukama Oyo’s three decades of visionary reign while sparking a national reflection on the power of cultural institutions as anchors of peace, unity, and socio-economic transformation.
Speaker Among, in delivering President Museveni’s heartfelt tribute, credited the Tooro King for complementing government programmes in education, health, and youth empowerment, saying that Tooro’s example proves that cultural institutions are not relics but living engines of development.

“Our cultural institutions are pillars of identity and engines of progress. Omukama Oyo’s leadership has safeguarded Tooro’s heritage while nurturing a partnership with government that secures peace, stability, and shared prosperity for our nation,” President Museveni’s message read.
Her presence and delivery have been hailed as a defining moment, elevating not just Tooro’s celebration, but also the national conversation on the role of culture in Uganda’s future.
The four-day festival, which began on 10th September and concludes tomorrow 13th September 2025, has been orchestrated by Talent Africa Group, with sponsorship from Pepsi, Capital Radio, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), and Pilsner Lager.
Together, they have transformed the Coronation Anniversary into a cultural and entertainment spectacle befitting three decades of Omukama Oyo’s reign.
The celebrations will climax with a star-studded music festival tomorrow featuring Tooro’s most exciting voices alongside Uganda’s chart-toppers. The festival will be headlined by the incredibly talented Cindy Sanyu who also doubles as Pilsner Lager Brand Ambassador and other performers including; Atwooki Richie, Irene Hinda, Muzamiru, Big Doug, Zaya Rossette, DJ Hash and MC Droppa among others.
This explosive finale will fuse culture, rhythm, and heritage, ensuring the anniversary closes with a celebration that resonates far beyond Tooro.
