Many (numbers not yet established) have been left dead and others nursing serious injuries after getting involved in motor road accident at Nile avenue, Radio one village, central division in Kampala District.

ASP Faridah Nampima, the PRO Traffic and road safety has revealed that the crashed vehicle was overspeeding when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp corner.
“It’s alleged that the said commuter taxi was traveling from the direction of Speke road facing Clement road with a yet to be unidentified numbers of passengers on board at high speed,” Nampima disclosed.
She added that, “While approaching a sharp corner it failed to break and failed to negotiate the corner, it eventually fell down inside the UBC subway roundabout killing two occupants on spot and many unidentified sustained serious injuries.”
The police rushed the injured victims to Mulago hospital and bodies of the deceased delivered to City mortuary for postmortem.
Meanwhile, the police fire and rescue services team arrived at the scene some moments later to remove the wreckage of the accident vehicle.
