Blacks Power Football Club came into the second leg of the Uganda Cup with 2 goals down. The hosts took an advantage in Bukedea after scoring the two goals thanks to Deograciuos Ojok and Oketch.

Second leg goals from Joseph Ssemujju, Oketch and Robert Mukongotya were enough to send Arthur Kyesimiira’s coached side to the last 16.

Blacks Power’s consolation goal was scored by Micheal Siwu who converted from the spot in the 82nd minute.

BUL become the first team to progress to the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup on 5-1 aggregate.

Blacks Power’s Innocent Maduka was a beauty to watch after he showed remarkable skills in the pitch. He dribbled past most of the experienced BUL players and proved to be a danger to his opponents.

Equally, the introduction of captain Simon Misaki Opio and Gilbert Iboot changed the game and the Bukedea based side looked a better side in the final minutes of the game.

Blacks Power came into this game with several of their senior players out injured. Notable names include goalkeepers Emmanuel Odong and Silver Ochakara prompting the coach to use third choice goalkeeper, Moses Ebong. Other big names include defender, Ivan Okello who sustained a hamstring injury in their home win against Paidha Black Angels, Emmanuel Egasu was also ruled out due to illness.

Blacks Power now turn their attention to the Big League. They will visit new comers Gaddafi FC in Jinja on 15th April.

They will also host neighbors, Kataka FC on 18th April at Emokori Playground, Bukedea.

Out of the three games played so far, they have won 2 (Calvary FC 0-1, Paidha BA 2-0) and lost to Arua Hill on their first league game in Arua.

They are third in the Elgon group with 6 points, a point behind league leaders, Maroons and Arua Hill who have 7 each.
