TBWA last weekend scooped 8 accolades at the inaugural Silverback Awards held at Serena Conference center.
The Silverback awards organized by Uganda Advertising Association (UAA), saw TBWA walk home with several awards in the different categories.
TBWA according to the organizers, presented incredible work and competitive projects executed throughout 2022 and it was no doubt they deserved the accolades.
Some of the Accolades include;
TV Ad of the year -MTN Freedom Bundle by TBWA.
Campaign of the year-Nile Special Mystery Chest (Nile Breweries) by TBWA
Brand of the year -Club Pilsner
Best Agency of the year.
Creative Director of the year- by Eric Mununuzi.
Copywriter of the year -Eric Mununuzi and Art Director of the year -Francis Kiiza among others.
Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Frank Muthusi, Chairman UAA who also doubles as Fireworks Advertising Group CEO applauded the agencies that participated in the inaugural Silverback awards, citing that the Silverback awards are going to be annual with bigger and better editions to come.
“We are happy that these awards celebrate us and the work we have been able to deliver not only to our client’s satisfaction but as well shape the society in which we operate.”
Muthusi highlighted the need for companies and different entities to honour and appreciate the work different agencies do in the advertising space which to him has gradually improved the industry over the years.
Other agencies that won in the Silverback awards 2022 include; Metropolitan advertising and Maad advertising among others.
The Silverback Awards are aimed at recognizing the top performing individuals who put out incredibly unique ideas and creativity into the most likable and admired adverts in the media and online space.
