Uganda’s music titan Jose Chameleone is back home — and the nation is buzzing with joy!
After spending four months in the United States battling acute pancreatitis, the legendary singer touched down in Kampala on Saturday morning, welcomed by a sea of fans, family, and friends in an emotional homecoming.
Thanks to the support of philanthropist Juliet Zawedde and the Ugandan government, Chameleone received specialized medical treatment abroad — and his triumphant return brought the country to a standstill.
From tarmac to triumph!
The energy was electric as a massive motorcade rolled from the airport to the city center, with crowds lining the streets, cheering, waving, and dancing just to catch a glimpse of the iconic star.
In his first words back home, a visibly moved Chameleone said, “I’m truly humbled by this welcome and deeply thankful for the prayers, support, and love you all showed me.”
Uganda’s lion roared once again — and the kingdom of music is whole!
