GOtv Uganda emerged as the biggest winner at this year’s Silverback Awards, securing nine accolades during the glamorous annual Silverbacks Awards organized by Uganda Advertising Association at Golf Course Hotel, Kampala on Saturday.
The 4th edition of the Silverback Awards, themed “Elevating The Grind,” celebrate outstanding achievements within Uganda’s communications industry. This year, GOtv reaffirmed its leadership by excelling across multiple categories.
The GOtv Uganda brand clinched Gold in Digital and Digital Crafts; Social Media and Influencer for GOtv Your BFF (Best Football Friend); and Integrated Campaign for its Ka Weekie Campaign. The brand also earned Silver in the Film category for Ka Weekie: The First Visit, and Bronze for Data and Insight Driven Campaign for Ka Weekie, Radio and Audio for Ka Weekie, along with a Craft Certificate for Film and Film Crafts for Ka Weekie: The First Visit.
Crowning its success, GOtv was named Brand of the Year, reinforcing GOtv Uganda’s reputation as an affordable, customer-focused brand in Uganda.

Building on this success, another key highlight of the evening was the recognition of Colin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, as Marketer of the Year. This accolade further cemented the company’s reputation for delivering innovative, consumer-driven campaigns that shape the entertainment landscape. Asiimwe remarked:
