The presidential candidate for Forum for Democratic Change Patrick Amuriat has been arrested for tempting to access Kitgum forcefully.
Amuriat who was told to divert and go to Lamwo because Museveni is in Kitgum defied and said his supporters were already waiting for him in Kitgum.
Due to this, Amuriat decided to walk to Kigtum which left police with no choice but to arrest him.
This caused police to fire teargas to disperse supporters of FDC presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat who were following him.
He was driven to Lukum village, 40 kilomteres away from Lawmo. Amuariat is supposed to campaign at Lukum village.
