A hunt for fame is skyrocketing in Uganda with most of the released nude photos and videos being staged in order to gain quick popularity.
Upcoming MCs, singers, comedians, and dancers have taken it upon themselves to stage these silly acts to attract public attention and sell out their images in a wrong manner.
According to inside sources, the latest culprit is NBS TV Presenter Casmir Mukisa Kimenyi alias MC Casmir who was allegedly caught red-handed sleeping with a married woman at a lodge within Kampala City.
In a video making rounds on social media, Casmir appears with his hands covered by a black jumper supposedly to hide the handcuffs on his wrists begging for forgiveness.
He is seen apologizing to the man behind the camera who is believed to be the husband to the lady in the video.
However, sources close to him say that all this was staged for the public to know him fully and also cement his name.
“NO ONE CAUGHT HIM! We recorded everything as requested,” a source said.
Indeed, the media went ahead to write about his name and he is known all over the media now. 95% of social media users know who MC Casmir is (including this writer).
Another notable figure is Martha Kay who received public sympathy after her photos and videos went viral. The social media comedian did not see these photos on the internet by mistake, everything was a setup for her to gain endorsements and popularize her name.
A source close to her said that she was warned severally by her best friends when she consulted about this issue but later, she would say ‘after all, it won’t break my bone.’ She indeed went ahead to record videos and accept her photos to be taken.
