The Chief Magistrate of Ntungamo Sarah Kolya has on Tuesday remanded State Minister for Labour, Mwesigwa Rukutana to prison until 15th September 2020.

In a court appearance where a few family members of Rukutana were allowed in, Kolya extended the bail application without giving any reasons as she only adjourned the ruling. However, Rukutana’s lawyers claim their client needs medical attention.

Yesterday the Ntungamo Grade One magistrate Nasifah Namayanja Rukutana to Kakika Prison in Mbarara on charges of attempted murder, malicious damage and theft of a gun.
