Ssali alias Bebe Cool is currently ranked 4th among the richest musicians in Uganda to the recent ratings.
His music nemesis Bobi Wine is ranked the richest musician in East Africa after his presidential bid failed.
Bobi Wine was one of the eleven candidates for the presidential position against Yoweri Museveni in the 2021 Uganda election. Official results from Electoral Commission confirms he came second in the Jan polls, a position he has since rejected, alleging that his votes were stolen.
Despite all that, Bobi is not struggling financially just like perhaps other people think. Actually, his net worth has skyrocketed; approximately to over 12$ million of all assets, brand and liabilities. In Uganda shillings he is valued at over 39 billion.
However, Bebe Cool’s net worth is still way below Bobi Wine’s ‘collection’.
According to the report, Bebe Cool is valued at $2.6 million of all assets and brand liabilities. In Uganda shillings he is valued at Shs9.5 billion.
Other notable top musicians include Jose Chameleone who is valued at Shs21 billion and Raggae Dee who is valued at UGX14.6 billion.
Uganda is ranked third in Africa as far as entertainment is concerned. Most of her musicians have been able to blend Luganda with other languages, like English or Swahili. This has made it acceptable to a wider audience.
