The National Unity Platform has Monday vetted over 100 candidates who will be participating in the forthcoming elections in the central region.

According to a statement released by the party, the Executive Board of the NUP sat and passed candidates for the position of Member of Parliament for various constituencies in the Central Region.
According to the statement, there are positions whose results were deferred for re-evaluation on account of different reasons.
“A team supervised by the Deputy President, Central Region is undertaking this task in the next 48 hours,”
As expected, some notable names like Patrick Mujuuko aka Patriko of Nakifuma constituency, Ssegirinya Muhammad and Joan Lule are all awaiting for their final verdict to be announced in the next 48 hours.
