How Besigye falsely tested positive for COVID-19 to shun Ntegge’s burial

The four time FDC presidential candidate, Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye on Sunday declined to take part in the sendoff of the fallen Kampala Mayor, Al Hajj Nasser Ntegge Ssebaggala.
After an entire evening of pressure piling and calls coming in from concerned members of the public asking him why he has not participated in the burial of a man who introduced him to the urban electorate, Besigye through his personal assistant, Ronald Muhinda has faked a COVID-19 status to exonerate him from the ongoing lambasting and castigation by the embittered Ugandans.
Sources privy to the political doyen reveal that Besigye could not participate in the burial because of the presence of the new kid on the block, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine who led his entire NUP entourage to Kisasi.
“He wanted to participate in the burial but feared to be outshined by Bobi’s presence,” a source close to Besigye says. “Ever since Besigye denounced a presidential rerun, he has declined to take part in any public gathering especially where the NUP principal, Bobi is present,” the source adds.
We are reliably told that Muhinda asked Besigye to make a public note using COVID-19 as the defence for his absence.
“Fare the well Al Hajj Nasser Ssebaggala (Sseya). Unfortunately, I’m in self isolation and couldn’t personally participate in his send off. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family,” Besigye wrote on Facebook at 22:00hrs.
FDC UK based supporter, Abbey Kibirige Ssemuwemba grilled his party and asked why it failed to delegate even a single representative at Sseya’s send off.
“Harold Kaija, how come the FDC icons didn’t bury Ssebagala? I didn’t see Besigye and others? What’s wrong?,” Kibirige asks.
