Speed met stardom at the electrifying inaugural Lubowa Ignition Tournament, Sunday June 1, 2025 where top racers and Uganda’s brightest celebrities collided in a thrilling display of grit, glamour, and gear-shifting action. Hosted by ADELE and masterfully organized by Talent Africa Group, the tournament transformed Lubowa Karting into a high-octane playground that drew fans, thrill-seekers, and A-listers from across the country.
A Celebrity Race for the Ages
All eyes were on the Celebrity Race, and it did not disappoint. With adrenaline pumping and engines blazing, the crowd erupted as household names took to the track. Media personality SAMMY WETALA stunned spectators with his unexpected edge and fierce determination, ultimately claiming first place and earning bragging rights as the fastest celebrity on wheels.
Hot on his heels was ALY ALLIBHAI, the CEO of Talent Africa Group, who combined elegance with sharp racing instincts to secure second place—a testament to his versatility both in business and behind the wheel. In third was the ever-charismatic rapper and performer BIG TRIL, whose competitive spirit matched his star power. MAX NOIR, known for his slick style and sharp attitude, also delivered an intense run that kept fans on their toes.
Among the many captivated guests was Emuk Benjamen, journalist and public relations strategist, who noted, “It was incredible to see celebrities step out of their usual spotlight and go head-to-head in such a raw, thrilling competition. I was truly amazed by the energy and talent on that track.”

Youth, Women, and Pros Blaze the Track
Beyond the star-studded heat, the tournament spotlighted raw, emerging talent.
In the Junior Category, the future of Ugandan motorsport burned bright. Joseph claimed a well-earned victory, with Faheem Garcha and Kavan Garcha following in an impressive 2nd and 3rd place finish.
The Female Category revved with energy and elegance as DORIS raced her way to the top, outpacing EYRA and ANELLA. Their performance was a clear message: women are taking charge—and taking the lead—on the track.
Then came the Pro Category, where intensity and precision ruled. HENK dominated with a flawless race to first place, while YOSEMITE and BEBERTO secured second and third in a nail-biting contest of skill and stamina. “We were captivated by the drama on track at our inaugural Ignition tournament,” said Emil Kwame Ampofo, Director of Lubowa Karting. “The competitors and spectators truly made it a day to remember.”
