No paper, no work! Next Radio presenters told to re-apply for jobs

Next Media CEO Kin Kariisa through the Human Resource Management has asked all radio presenters, programs directors among others to re-apply for jobs as the company seeks to bring new breath into the airwaves.
According to inside sources, all other next media products like NBS, Sanyuka,Next .Com, Salaam TV and Nile Post have been self sustaining their staff and all other costs. It’s only Next radio which employs so many celebrities who are paid in millions yet the radio hasn’t been making such huge monies, the reason the highest organ of the group in their previous retreat agreed that they should re-brand with new programming and presenters who rym with the current times and trends in order to attract advertisers.
”Now that the economy is fully reopened, coupled with the need to innovate to meet ever-changing audience expectations continuously, we undertook to review the performance of all the Next Media brands to remain competitive in the market. The findings indicate that the tastes and preferences of our Next Radio audience have since shifted, requiring us to realign ourselves to meet these demands.
Therefore, with immediate effect, there will be an extensive programmes review, including the realignment of all shows on Next Radio. As a result, all Next Radio personnel shall have scheduled engagements with the People & Culture Office on their new roles in line with these reviews during this period.” partly reads Kin’s memo.
Some of the key presenters that have gone grassing include socialite Zahara Toto, MC Vex, Rudende among others. Meanwhile, Zahara still runs her NBS TV music show daily 2-3pm Uncut at 10pm on Sanyuka TV.
