Police in Kampala fired live bullets to disperse National Unity Platform supporters protesting the arrest of their leader, Robert Kyagulanyi.

Kyagulanyi was arrested in Luuka district on Wednesday after he reportedly declined to follow directives issued by them.

He was reportedly detained at Nalufenya Police Station in Jinja District.

Upon receiving the news of his arrest, Bobi Wine’s supporters all over the country started demonstrating in various areas including Kampala and Masaka towns.

However, more than 10 people have been confirmed dead.
