Teargas rocks Magere as police disperse crowds in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19

Teargas and running battles have continued to dominate Magere as police tries to disperse supporters of National Unity Platform – NUP.

The supporter gathered in the home of NUP leader, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine to celebrate his nomination after he was whisked directly to his home to stop him from proceeding to Kamwokya to launch his manifesto.

At least 3 civilians have been injured in Magere following a scuffle with Uganda Police.

Residents made efforts to rush the victims to nearby heath centres as police fired more teargas to disperse the supporters.
