Three notorious cattle thieves arrested in Bukedea

Bukedea police are holding three suspects over theft of cattle. The suspects were arrested in operations conducted over the weekend.

The ‘Super Three’ were arrested on Malera road at midnight on Sunday together with their small car they have been using for transporting stolen cattle.

They reportedly tried to dodge the police patrol.

Ali Kakooza the o/c station Bukedea identified the suspects as Rojas Elolu 20 years, a resident of Agoloto village in Kolir Sub-County, Ibrahim Ocom, 25, a resident of Angangam in Aminit sub county and John Omongole 19 years, a resident of Kolir sub-county in Kolir.

Kakooza said the three were rooming with their small car reg No. UAQ 623B while heading towards the direction of Malera Via Kasoka.

Upon their arrest, police learnt that all the team arrested has been on their tracking system as conical thieves who steal cattle in the district using cars.

During the search of the car, police recovered three sharp pangas, bicycle pump and remains of cow dung in the car.

The three remain in Bukedea Central Police Station for detention for further investigations.

Kakooza also added urging the community members to be vigilant and report such cases.
