A Ugandan security guard working in Mbale City has won a whopping UGX350 million after risking his salary to bet on two fixed games.
Andrew Ochom, 28, says he borrowed money from his village savings group to pay for fixed games that he had been trending online. He subscribed to their fixed games after seeing so many positive testimonies online about these guys.
“I use a small button phone but I can access opera mini, I used to see so many trending stories about these guys, so I called them and I wanted to take a risk. I even cried to them since this would land me into hot soup. The money (1m) that I used for subscribing is borrowed money from my village savings group, they promised to keep their word. I took the loan; I sent them money the next day. I got my salary the following day since they told me to look for stake and since the games would be two, they asked me to send back Shs50 million after winning. The odd was around 700 for two teams, I put all my salary. I didn’t check the ticket because the moment I staked; my body became too cold! I was shivering,” he narrated.
“I received a call at 6pm from them asking if I was already celebrating because the games had won, I shouted!”
“The following day, I was called by the betting company on how I would like to be paid…the rest is history now!” he added.
Ochom confessed that the highest amount he had ever won in betting was 500k and that was like 2 years ago.
He now says that he is going to invest this money into something big as well as making fixed games his priority because this is ‘where free money’ comes from.
