Dancer Valentino R. Kabenge’s inaugural Uganda Dance Nights, a spectacular Latin ballroom dance experience left a huge concrete impression and set a new standard in the Ugandan entertainment industry.

Uganda Dance Nights, which transpired Saturday March 22,  2025 at Serena Hotel’s Victoria Hall, successfully intertwined Latin dance with the rich tapestry of Ugandan culture, showcasing the passion that Ugandans have for dance while satisfying the growing curiosity about the Latin ballroom dance experience.

The sold-out event was a true spectacle of glamour and elegance, welcoming guests on the red carpet with performances from the vibrant Janzi Band. The night featured an impressive lineup, including notable figures such as Allan Kutos, Anne Kansiime, Rachael Magoola, Sam Bagenda, Donlynn Fischer, and Marius Iepure, all of whom contributed to the event’s success.

Valentino, who played a pivotal role in the evening’s festivities, remarked, “Tonight has been a transformative experience for both dancers and audiences. We have shown that dance can bridge cultures and bring people together. This event is just the beginning; it marks a new era for the dance and entertainment industry in Uganda. We are proving that dancers can host successful events and make a significant impact.”

The Uganda Dance Nights not only celebrated the art of dance but also raised awareness and support for children with Down syndrome, promoting inclusivity and understanding within the community. The performances from the Ghetto Kids and other talented artists highlighted the event’s dual purpose: to entertain and to advocate for social causes.

The success of this event has set a promising tone for the future of dance in Uganda, demonstrating that there is a vibrant market for such experiences. Sponsors including Talent Africa Group, ValRich Arts, the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Kakira, and Safe Boda played a crucial role in making this vision a reality, showcasing their commitment to the arts and social responsibility.

As the night concluded, attendees left inspired, with a renewed appreciation for the fusion of cultures through dance and a commitment to supporting the ongoing growth of the entertainment industry in Uganda.
