Arsenal are preparing to back Mikel Arteta with three key signings this summer, which could total £100 million, according to reports.

The Gunners finished outside of the top six in the Premier League for the first time in 25 years last season in a disappointing campaign for the north London club.

Mikel Arteta claimed his first piece of silverware as a manager with his side’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea, however, a big rebuild is on the cards at the Emirates to get them back competing for the top four.

With a deal for out-of-contract Chelsea winger Willian expected to be completed soon, The Sun claim the Gunners’ next three primary targets are Thomas Partey, Gabriel Magalhaes and Dani Ceballos.

Atletico Madrid’s Partey has been a long-term target for the club as they aim to add a combative midfielder to their ranks.

The Spanish giants are holding out for his £45 million release clause and are refusing to lower their demands.

Brazilian centre-back Gabriel from Lille is also highly regarded by Arteta and could be purchased for around £25 million. Meanwhile, the Gunners are also keen on extending Ceballos’ loan from Real Madrid for another season after an impressive end to the campaign.

However, Real Madrid want to sell the Spaniard on a permanent deal and are asking for £30 million for his services.

Given the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis, which has seen Arsenal make 55 redundancies this week, they will have to sell before they buy.

The report states that Lucas Torreira, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Shkodran Mustafi and Matteo Guendouzi could all be offloaded to raise funds.

21-year-old Guendouzi – who hasn’t featured for the Gunners since he grabbed Neal Maupay by the neck after their 2-1 loss to Brighton in June – is valued at around £35 million. Versatile defender Maitland-Niles has attracted interest from Brighton, Everton and Spurs and could be let go for £25 million.
