Nigerian singer, song writer Skales made a surprise appearance on Saturday night when he star turned up for the Smirnoff Digital Campaign Dubbed ‘we are the Party,” A night that saw the Vodka brand live up to its reputation of being the ultimate party companion.
The star who was a sight for sore eyes especially for Kampala party people who have been stuck during this period, took over the famous NTV Dance by throwing a thrilling performance together with Uganda’s very own Zuli Tums.
His performance kickstarted a campaign that will see viewers participate in a three-part series of challenge throughout the festive season and win prizes with the Smirnoff starter pack being the ultimate prize; a fully loaded gift pack that comes with a crate of Smirnoff, 2 bottles of vodka, a bar set up, a mixologist and a DJ delivered right at the winners doorstep, for their enjoyment.
The campaign that started with the “dress up to go nowhere challenge” saw the NTV set transformed and draped in Halloween style costumes designed to suit the American-style holiday.
The challenge saw viewers given a chance to dress up in their favourite night out attire, take photos while enjoying themselves and relaxing at home and share across all social media platforms with the hashtags #DressedToGoNowhere and #WeAreTheParty to stand a chance to win big.
The picture with the most likes, shares and comments in the next two weeks will win.
Speaking at the launch UBL’s Head of International Premium Spirits, Annette Nakiyaga described the campaign as a perfect festive season kick-starter, set to offer the best party experience for the winner and their family and friends with and safety in mind.
“The true nature of Smirnoff is to breathe life into your party, so invite us into your home by participating in the challenges. Join the challenge now and dress up to go nowhere as we wind down 2020,” she said.
The campaign comes at a very good time especially with the closure of hangout spots still in place due to COVID 19 restrictions hence participants will get the opportunity to enjoy themselves safely and in the comfort of their own home. Several other challenges are lined up till the end of the year.
