Police and sister security agencies on Saturday destroyed illegal plantations of Marijuana in Wakiso district.
The gardens seating on approximately 15 acres of land were located in Masulita and Magoogo subcounties in Wakiso district.
According to police, the operation was intelligence led because it was executed after receiving information that there were big Marijuana gardens in the said areas .
“One person has been arrested to aid in investigations, he has been identified as Samuel Mugambwa,” said Kampala Metropolitan police
The suspect was found in possession of three sacks of Marijuana ready to be transported , he is currently detained at Kakiri Police as investigations are ongoing.
