A fire outbreak at Vita Foam Factory in Njeru, Buikwe District has left investors, residents and employees in tears after property worth millions of shillings was lost.

According to reports, the fire broke out in the wee hours of Monday September 28, 2020. The cause of the fire is not yet known by press-time and there are no injuries recorded yet.
Meanwhile there is still combated efforts by employers and employees to curb fires from spreading as they wait for Police Fire Brigade to come for rescue.
Vita Foam are the manufacturers of mattresses, pillows, baby cots and other foam products.
The origins of the company can be traced to 1975, when Uganda Industrial Properties Ltd., a holding company, forged an alliance with M/s Vita PLC of UK to form Vitafoam (Uganda) Limited.
